Hi, friends! We’re Johnny and Annalisa and here are 10 things about us:
- We live in rural Arkansas and raise chickens and a big garden. Growing our own food is a passion! We don’t use any kind of chemicals on our garden and our chickens are antibiotic free.
- I am learning to can food, and love cooking from scratch. You can look for recipes and cooking hacks here in the future!
- We love to travel, especially cruises. We also visit Universal Orlando as often as possible. In fact, we have a travel agency, Alliston Travel, and we’d love to help you plan a trip of your own!
- I am a thrift store junkie. I love vintage things AND bargains, so thrift stores, yard sales, and flea markets are some of my happy places. We resell on eBay to help fund some of our travels.
- We have three kids ranging in age from 18-27: Jessica (married to Robert), Connor (married to Maddie), and Abby (just started her freshman year in college). We are grandparents to the three most precious grands in the world! Our grandparent names are Granna and Gramps, and we can’t wait till the babies are old enough to travel with us like their parents have!
- I run a dog boarding and daycare business–It is in our front yard and has been open for two years. Learning to operate a small business was not always easy, but it is definitely rewarding.
- We have three dogs and two cats. I can’t imagine life without animals.
- I’m an author (20 novels so far) and one of my books was made into a TV movie. (we got to be in a scene!)
- We collect vintage Pyrex. I’ve accumulated quite a bit of pink Pyrex, and it makes me so happy to cook with it! (and to display it)
- We firmly believe in gifting experiences over stuff. Travel is not only one of life’s best teachers, but it also helps create lasting family memories!
